The Winter Steelhead Report 2020 is good so far here on the northwest Oregon coast. Oregon steelhead guides are seeing good numbers of fish for January. We have been finding fish every time we have been able to get on the water. There has been lots of rain so we have only been able to get out a few days a week but there seems to be fish in all the rivers. The great thing is as an Oregon steelhead guide is that we are not even close to the peak of the season which comes in February and March. We do still have a few openings for the two peak months of the winter steelhead season. This looks to be a great start and we are looking forward to a great season, this is one season you don’t want to miss. Here are some pictures of some hatchery fish and a couple wild ones we added to the broodstock program on the Wilson river and a great native we let go to swim free!
