Hello, my name is Daniel St. Laurent and I look forward to being your Salmon and Steelhead fishing guide. I've been fishing in the most popular rivers in the Northwest all my life and many of my friends, family and people I met on the rivers talked me into being a full-time fishing guide. I've officially been a Washington and Oregon Salmon and Steelhead fishing guide for 9 years now.

We will be fishing winter steelhead in the Tillamook County rivers out of one of our two state of the art Willie drift boats that have HEATED SEATS. We will be targeting these great fish from the beginning of February through the end March. This is a very fun, hands on fishery. We see fresh fish coming into the coastal rivers every time we get a shot of rain. The average size of these fish are 8-15 pounds with 20 pound fish caught every year. We have a broodstock program on both the Wilson and Nestucca River, that allows us to catch fresh hatchery fish for the whole season.
Spring salmon season is just around the corner!  I am booking spring salmon trips for the Columbia, Willamette and Tillamook and Nestucca Bay systems. I am still fishing out of my state of the art 2016 28 foot Willies sled with HEATED SEATS that comfortably fishes up to 6.

First off, I start my Columbia River spring salmon season on March 26th  and fish it through the close on April 6th.  This is a short season, but a very productive fishery the last couple weeks it's open.  We have a pretty decent run this year for the Columbia of around 160,000 spring salmon. We also have another 40,000 spring salmon forecasted for the Willamette. We normally fish out of Scappoose Bay and fish from the St. Helens area down so we are below the Willamette, allowing us to fish on just over 200,000 spring kings which is a good number.  Don't miss out on this fun productive fishery.  These are by far some of the best eating fish we have here in the northwest with high oil content and great buttery flavor.

After I get done I will be coming home to do a week or so of late run Winter steelhead.  We have great late steelhead fishing here in the Tillamook area and there are very few people on the rivers which makes for some great fishing with plenty of late fish around due to the broodstock programs we have here on the North Coast.  I will be fishing from April 7th through the 16th.

After this I will be fishing on the Willamette River from Oregon City to the Multnomah Channel, whatever area is fishing best.   This is a fun fishery close to Portland.
We are still catching the same great eating fish as we do in the Columbia River.  I will be fishing this are from April 18th thru May 5th.  The run for the Willamette is 40,000 but if we do have good water conditions this year we will probably see some decent action if the water temps stay cool with all the snow.

After this, I move back to the Oregon Coast and start chasing the biggest spring salmon of the year in the Tillamook Bay and Nestucca Bay systems.  This is a very fun fishery that lasts normally from around May 10th through late June. This is also becoming more productive due to more and more fish being released into the Tillamook bay fisheries.
I fish in the ocean some days when weather allows out of Tillamook which can be very fun fishing for these ocean fresh spring salmon.  This also allows us to do combo spring salmon - bottom fishing trips.  The bottom fishing is high-paced, fast-action fishing and most of all great eating fish.

Don't miss out on all the great fishing we have coming up for the spring time.  We are booking all 2017 fishing trips, so book early for best dates!!!

This boat is absolutely HUGE. It is very wide, comfortable, and roomy and lots of fun to fish from.

If you would like to book a quality fishing trip with one of the best fish-catching guides on the Oregon Coast call today. If you end up booking with someone else, but see us out fishing, please wave hello. We're easy to find in our brand new boat. It's a 2016 28 foot Willie Nemesis sled with 250 Yamaha 4 stroke and 9.9 Yamaha kicker.

When fishing the rivers around the Tillamook Bay area we will be fishing out of a 2013 20 by 72 or a 2015 18 by 60 Willie drift boat. Please CLICK HERE to see more photos of all three boats.

Please wave or honk if you see us on the river. It's likely we'll be in the process of landing a fish so if we're not able to wave right back I'm sure you'll understand. I've spent as many if not more hours on the water here than any other guide you'll find, as I fish almost everyday of the year and I truly doubt if you'll see any other fishing guide who works as hard as I do or puts as many hours in as me. Catching Salmon and Steelhead in the most popular rivers of the Northwest is my passion and my life. It's a sport that I'd love to share with you. 503-440-5188.

I fish every possible day and I know where the fish are. For that reason, on the days I am not guiding I still fish so I know what is going on for the next day of being on the water.  I fish year round from the ocean thru the bays and up the rivers, I do it all.

If there is a steelhead or salmon out there I'm trying to catch it.  I love being on the water teaching people my love for the outdoors and showing them a great time in the process.

We will be fishing from a 2016 28 foot Willie Nemesis sled with 250 Yamaha 4 stroke and 9.9 Yamaha kicker; it can fish up to 6 people. On the small coastal rivers we fish from a 2013 20 by 72 or 2015 18 by 60 Willie drift boat. I can fish up to 3 people. All boats are equipped with heated seats!

The reason people go fishing with me is to catch fish and to have fun. To relax, breathe in the fresh ocean air, and to catch fish. To enjoy the scenery, to learn the best fishing secrets, and to find out where the fish are. To photograph all there is to see and to be a part of the great outdoors in the Northwest. And did I mention to catch fish?
